HONDA CIVIC HYBRID

The 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid is being marketed as “earth friendly, sporty, safe and reliable” by its manufacturer.  In its recent promotional materials on the Honda Civic Hybrid, the manufacturer maintains that the hybrid car model is a “leader in innovative technology and social responsibility.”

According to estimates by the manufacturer, the Honda Civic Hybrid can travel up to 650 miles on one tank of gas.  (Honda does note that it is relying on EPA estimates for 2009 for this particular mileage computation.)  The Honda Civic Hybrid maintains a high-output electric motor that recharges through the operation of the vehicle itself.  There is not need to “plug in” the Honda Civic Hybrid in order to restore and recharge the electric battery.

Some consumers have expressed reservations about making a purchase of a vehicle like the Honda Civic Hybrid.  They worry that they will not be able to have a vehicle such as the Honda Civic Hybrid serviced at a local garage or dealer when the need arises.  According to Honda, the Honda Civic Hybrid can be serviced at any Honda dealer.

The Honda Civic Hybrid was first introduced onto the American auto market in 2003.  Since that time it has become one of the largest selling hybrid vehicles in the United States.  According to Honda, the Honda Civic Hybrid is geared towards people who have a commitment to the environment, who are interested in economy and fuel efficiency.  Some industry analysts have actively dubbed the Honda Civic Hybrid as being a perfect entry-level hybrid auto for a person interested in owning his or her first gasoline/electric powered car.

With an established track record amongst consumers, the Honda Civic Hybrid does receive high marks for owner satisfaction.  Indeed, based on a number of independent research reports pertaining to owner satisfaction, the Honda Civic Hybrid gets high scores across the board and remains one of the most widely praised hybrid vehicles on the market today.

The AAA named the Honda Civic Hybrid one of the “best family cars on the road today” in 2004 based on its safety feature.  “Parents” magazine bestowed similar recognition on the Honda Civic Hybrid that same year.

Another welcome feature of the Honda Civic Hybrid is found in its reasonable price.  The 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid has a base suggested manufacturer’s retail price of $23,550.  Naturally, the reasonable sticker price on the Honda Civic Hybrid remains one of its chief selling points in today’s challenging economic environment.

Relief from high gas prices now comes with fantastic amenities. And you have the Civic Hybrid to thank.
